…that congregates at the Starline Grill every weekday afternoon around 5 pm to watch their favorite trivia game show. Do you know what I am talking about??
Cash Cab is a semi-new trivia game show that takes place in a taxi cab in New York. The questions are general knowledge, you can play as long as you’re answering the questions correctly. 3 strikes and you’re let out of the cab regardless to location of the cab at the time. You have 2 shout outs, a phone shout out and a street shout out, to get help on a question you might not know. And at the end there’s a double or nothing video question. One of the fun perks is the Red Light Challenge as well.
Cash Cab is on Discovery channel and its popularity is growing fast and creating quite the stir. If you aren’t in the know come down to Starline Grill for a drink, an appetizer and some fun trivia.
Oh and see if you can beat Alan or Jay (they are the kings of Cash Cab).
The SG Cash Cab Crew can be quite the intense crowd… though fun nevertheless. At least it’s a trivia show that has challenging quiz questions. There’s the difference… a thinking drinking crowd. LOL!
Side bets for the length of the ride (a knowledge of Manhattan’s streets helps) and for whether the passengers make it to their destination before accumulating three strikes.
Cash Cab is the highlight of my shift when I’m working!!!! I LOVE IT!!
yep, i’m a dork. i like this show and i’d love to have a whack at it.
the first time i saw cash cab we were waiting to be seen @ the emergency room. i’ve seen it a few times since, but can’t really say i enjoy the show.
i have seen that cash cab group over @ the grille though.
maybe i can get a drinking jeopardy following going there. first to answer correctly tells someone to drink. answer out loud and miss, take a drink.
you might have something there! You know the crew jumps from Cash Cab to Jeopardy so it would work out 🙂
I like the Jeopardy drinking game!!!!
@ed + @cadie: I’m game to play, but I suspect that your rules are going to lead to a lot of “telling someone to drink”. There are 60 questions, brother! 61 if you count “final”.
Great show, I love the simplicity and indie style of it.
Yo! Why don’t ya blog this on Fresnocentric, chica? It’s a Fresno neighborhood happening!
And how is it I live on the same block and have no idea about these things?
Oh yeah. I forgot. I’m an introverted hermit sort.
Still… fun!
cash cab rocks!!!
