da Count – Da Move Friday, Jan 30 2009

Halo is moving to Dr. Dave’s, I can’t help but ride on the wave of excitement about a new place. And also it brings to mind my pending move. Sure it’s a year and a few months away, but the fact is I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! You see, I’m paying off my car, the accident and some other bills that were too hefty to pay off all at once. It’ll be done in a year. dacount3I am super stoked to FINALLY own my car. And to FINALLY have the accident behind me. I can’t wait to have the funds available to chip away at the debt and re-establish my credit and GET A PLACE OF MY OWN!!! No more storage payment and I can have MY things back! Oh it’s been WAY TOO LONG since I’ve been in my own place and I can’t wait!

So I’m on count down and I’m super stoked about being free and clear and actually having money available to get a nice one bedroom apartment in Tower. ::sigh:: It will be beautiful!

My problem… Thursday, Jan 29 2009

… I have one, I know I do. I’m irritable all the time and I think it’s because I just can’t let go of the little things. I’m working on it. Taking deep breaths and counting to ten and such. I think being aware of it is the best. But there are times where the rage builds up so bad inside that I just want to scream and thrash about and break everything within arms reach.

Hmmm… not healthy.

So the solution to this is to not let the rage build up that far. Ok. How do you do that?

Step One:

Put down the Blackberry. I know it’s convient and all, but you do not have to answer every question as soon as it comes across your Blackberry. Put it down and only answer emails once or twice a day. Do the same with Facebook and MySpace… only check it once or twice a day… not all the time. Your work production levels will increase and you irritability to a question you think someone should already know the answer to will dissapate…. hopefully.

Step Two:

Do not spread yourself too thin. I actually think I’m getting better at this. Sure, I’m taking on a lot right now woth the 2 jobs (I just had a shift added, yay for making more money and paying off bills!!) and the Rogue… but that’s all I’m doing. I’m used to taking on a lot more… but with the addition of Halo and Halo’s move to Dr. Dave’s I think it’s been a stressful time. I should become more homebody-ish and not feel like I have to do something constantly. If I’m at home and I feel like I need to do something… I’ll do laundry or clean something. That should help, right?

Step Three:

I don’t know… but I’m willing to take these two big steps first and try to off set my rage and irritability.

::sigh::

Wish me luck??

Because I’m still tired and little punchy… Wednesday, Jan 28 2009

…this made me cry laughing. It’s old and something I’ve seen before, but it sold on eBay for a ridiculous amount of money.

Hahahahaha!!

Dear Jane,

Are you sure this drawing of a spider is the one I sent you? This spider only has seven legs and I do not feel I would have made such an elementary mistake when I drew it.

Regards, David.

Hello,

I am back and have read through your emails and accept that despite missing a leg, that drawing of a spider may indeed be the one I sent you. I realise with hindsight that it is possible you rejected the drawing of a spider due to this obvious limb ommission but did not point it out in an effort to avoid hurting my feelings. As such, I am sending you a revised drawing with the correct number of legs as full payment for any amount outstanding. I trust this will bring the matter to a conclusion.

Regards, David.

Dear David,

As I have stated, we do not accept drawings in lei of money for accounts outstanding. We accept cheque, bank cheque, money order or cash. Please make a payment this week to avoid incurring any additional fees.

Yours sincerely, Jane Gilles

I understand and will definately make a payment this week if I remember. As you have not accepted my second drawing as payment, please return the drawing to me as soon as possible. It was silly of me to assume I could provide you with something of completely no value whatsoever, waste your time and then attach such a large amount to it.

Regards, David.

I’m tired. Tuesday, Jan 27 2009

I’m tired. Not specifically tired of anything, this isn’t a rant. I’m just tired.

Circa went really awesomely Sunday night, which meant I didn’t get to bed until almost 3 am and it took me a while to fall asleep. Ah yes, the things we do to make a buck.

Halo is moving this week to Dr. Dave’s. This isn’t a big endeavor, but i was in charge of packing the kitchen last night and it nearly did me in. With lack of sleep it was just a bit much. Also I had a meeting prior to packing with a Mr. Raiser (who is called that because he’s good at fund raising and grant writing) and got a lot of info quickly. A little bit of an over load.

So, that’s all for me right now. Sleepy.

An Interview… Monday, Jan 26 2009

Lime  sent me some interview questions 🙂

1. We are shooting the story of your life. Who produces, who directs, and who portrays you? Wow… actually I was thinking about things like this a while back and I think I have a clue. Baz Lurman would direct because I love the wacky crazy (other than Australia) films he does… it’s kind of similar to my life, really! Haha! The Producer would be Jerry Bruckheimer which would guarantee something exploding, which kicks ass! Amd the actress who would play me… hmm… I’d probably have to say Kiera Knightly… just because I love her and I think she’s very talented… if I were a twidge older I’d say Kate Winslet.

2. You are being exiled to the moon but get to choose 4 other companions. Who are you taking?  Halo, definitely. Michelle the Jelly Bear. Mom. Cadie.

3. What is your quest? To learn something new everyday and do what I can to not only enrich my life but to encourage and enrich other peoples’ lives as well. 🙂

4. What is your earliest memory? Hmmm… I’d probably have to say 2.5 years old when I got my ears pierced. I was a stubborn who me??? NO WAY!!! child and refused to potty train… then my older bro went to school and I wanted to go. Mom & dad said, “well little girls cannot wear diapers at school.” I was trained the next day and subsequentially talked my mother into letting me get my ears pierced which wasn’t supposed to happen until I was 13. Hahahahaha… precocious!

5. An evil mastermind is going to destroy the world unless you can stop him. You are armed with a spoon, a rubber chicken, a can of aquanet, and a bucket of peanuts. What is your plan? first, I’ll start by training a herd of Elephants with the peanuts, they will be trained to trample what ever I designate. Designation of the stampede is by using the spoon to slingshot the rubber chicken at the evil mastermind. I’ll use the aquanet to make sure my hair looks perfect after the elephants and the slingshotting for the press and photo ops!

Hahahahahaha!!!! Ok so if Lime can interview me, I’ll interview anyone that comments requesting 5 questions so you can post to your blog. 🙂

Da Count – Da Muse!!! Friday, Jan 23 2009

dacount2I know there are a lot of people interested and wondering just what we chose for the MUSE this year… and the time has finally come to unveil it. Mike Oz from the Fresno Bee will be posting it today on the Fresno BeeHive.

I am proud of this Muse because it is something that is completely different from the previous years of the Rogue and, I found it.

😀

I hope you like it!!!

Come On Fresno! Thursday, Jan 22 2009

slugcartoonOk, I love Fresno, I love what Fresno provides as far as opportunity, but there’s one thing that’s just driving me up the wall! Argh! Fresno is SO apathetic! Sure, we can brag about our college team winning the NCAA world series, and we have one of the top 25 performance venues in the world… but do you think Fresnans actually go out to support that team or that venue??? Ha!

It is my wish to see Fresnans get up off the couch, not be so sluggish, and acutally go out and get involved with something to better our community! Don’t sit back and wait for someone else to do the leg work for you, go out there, be aggressive, make something happen! Ack! For god’s sake! If you want a job done right, DO IT YOURSELF!

::sigh::

I’d hate to see Fresno lose another sports team, or lose another theater company. I’d hate to see Fresno slack off on the amazing performance/film/arts events that go on on a monthly basis! There is ALWAYS something to do in Fresno…. it’s up to us to go out and do them!

Ok… I’m getting off the soapbox… I just had to rant.

I’m not trying to Hate, but… Wednesday, Jan 21 2009

…WTF??? I’m not too sure what her stylist was thinking with these…

dress-close_1243328fI mean this woman’s style sense has been compared to Jackie O. I’m sorry but I don’t see Jackie O in anything like this! michelle1_1242858a1

On the Birthday note, last night was a good night. Halo took me to dinner and then we went to the Day One event and hung out with Cadie and Chris. It was a good night, a good cap off to a lack luster day.

Thank you for coming by with birthday wishes! 🙂

Today is My Day and Everyone is Celebrating it! Tuesday, Jan 20 2009

Yeah you see they are all celebrating my birthday, right??? Who? Who are you celebrating??? Obama? Who’s that? Ooooh… the new President of the United States… oh yeah that guy…

LOL.

I was born the day Regan was inaugurated and celebrated my birthday with a new or reelected President every 4 years. It’s only this year that I feel a bit swept under the rug. Well, I didn’t start feeling that way until everyone started asking me how I felt about having to share my birthday with a major historical event. And yes, I feel like a petulant child talking about this. The wonderful thing is that this is a day in history. There is a major change occurring in our nation and it’s COOL I’m sharing that day! But I do feel lost in the mix.

I appreciate everyone that has sent their wishes… it really means more to me this year than ever.

So, the big 2-8 Here I come!!!

Grr… Monday, Jan 19 2009

I’m depressed. I’m meloncholic. I shouldn’t be. My mind is getting the better of me and it’s hurting.

I want to be in a corner yelling at all the bad thoughts to go away while is cover my ears and hide.

I hate insecurity.

Tomorrow is my birthday. I’d better shake this thing tonight.
